I have a 2007 Kia Sedona 3.8L with 130,000 k it is showing the P0022 code. I sometimes have hesitation when starting from a stop. It also at times kind of stumbles or hesitates when maintaining 50-60k. Any ideas as to what is doing this?

P0022 Camshaft position over retarded

This is oil control valve or the CVVT (camshaft vairable valve timing), and the code you have will do exactly what your are experiencing. This is the reason oil maintance is very important also the oil level and the proper oil weight, with the proper oil filter. You will need to replace the oil control valve, and make it a hobby in replacing. This is a very common issue with the oil control valve, There is a TSB on it due to it causing rough idle and poor acceleration.TSB #KT2009050801.
