P1636 - fan running full speed and in limp mode

Question

my mercedes e220cdi w210 model suddenly went into limp mode anf the fan came on full speed and a fault came up saying visit workshop fan fault ,i had this put on a scanner and a code of p1636 came up along with other codes ie p0100,p1403,p1470,p1189 have done some checking thought it may be the fan control unit under the front wing regards Frank
