2011 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7L with code P049D

Question

I took my 2011 Dodge 3500 6.7 L Diesel to autozone to have code read. The MIL light is on, although not flashing. I changed the fuel filter after the MIL light came on. It went off for a couple of days and is no back on again. When put on the reader it was throwing out the code of P049D.

Try removing the EGR and clean out the passage, if this does not work replace the EGR.
