P0118 KIA -Could this issue cause a problem with starting the car after being run for a while?

I have a 2004 Kia Sedona,  have P0118 code present. After vehicle runs for about half  hour, it won't restart for couple hours. Has sufficient coolant and both fans are working but still gets really hot.  Confused??

Yes, this code is for the engine coolant temp sensor. If the ecm thinks the engine is cold when you try to start it hot, the fuel mixture will be to rich and the engine will flood. This could be the issue. Also, if the engine isn't running hot, but the gauge shows hot it could be the factor.
