My car had a check engine light on. Transmission guy said it read P0740, P218 and P560. I replaced the radiator cap which he suggested. I also replaced the battery which he suggested. He told me to ride around for 2 days and see if the codes came back. They did only this time just the P0740. He said then the TCC needed to be replaced. He stated one of his mechanics drove it while the other had the machine on it proving that the computer in the car was sending the signal to the solenoid and it was sending it to the TCC but the TCC wasn't reading it. Therefore the TCC is bad not the solenoid.
Does this sound right? honest? truthful? He said he could install a TCC which would warrantied for 90 days.
Help to let me know if I should take a chance on this transmission shop.
I have also always dealt with Chrysler and they can do the work too warranty lasting the life of the car.
help!!!
