P0685 DODGE -

Question

04 durango 4.7L no read with scan tool only way to retreve codes is with on/off on/off on procedure with ignition. two codes p0442 and p0685. No other symptom cleared code with battery disco came back on after 20 miles or so. It does have after market radio looks like pro install. I do not have 12 volts between pin 4 and 7 at adl. what is likely, where do i find actual fuse and relay diagrams and is obd read fail related to pcm relay open code?

P0685 ASD relat control circuit, shorted or open

P0442 Evap purge system medium leak

Usually with P0685 the vehcile does not even start,, Change the ASD relay or swap it out, that might help, As for the DLC connection Pin 4 and 5 are grounds, test pin 16 for battery voltage,

Thanks Reynaldo I appreciate your answer diagrams will be helpful and I will check voltages and grounds per your info.  Some changes since last night I located the relay and swaped it for the blower relay and now that code is gone per the key dance retreval process.  However the evap leak code is still there and I have removed and retightened the gas cap many time with no luck.  Gas cap seems to fit well can tell if it is stock or not will have to search pictures of durango gas caps to find out.  I was using an old acton code scanner maybe from the late 90's or early 2000's and I could only get flashing zeroes on it.  It works alright on my wifes 06 town and country so I assumed it was my adl conection but I  bought a new scanner that can be bat powered but didn't put batteries in there yet and it read it just fine i have cleared the evap leak code with that and it has not returned yet.  I am guessing there are some slight changes to the obd II connection since I bought my scanner, or maybe make or model specific issues.  cause even with relay replaced actron scanner still won't read on my durango.  Anyhow thanks for the help and time.
