My Volvo has 106,000k miles on it and has begun going into limp home mode during normal driving around town. the obd gives only code P2126. what should I do as the first step in repairing this issue? where is this sensor located? under the dash, engine bay or even in the throttle body? is there a fix that will not require an expensive and lengthy stay at a dealership?

Vehicle: 2002 v70XC with AWD, 2.4 ltr, 5 cyl Turbo

P2126 Accelerator pedal position (AP)sensor

This is for faulty signal at the accelerator pedal at the floor board, Alot of shops and dealer miss this code and start replacing parts, whether there is a faulty signal or not, The purpose of the CK ENG Lt is to protect the catalytic convertor and nothing else. If this is the only code in memory go ahead and replace the APP at the floor board,
