U1221 - Subaru Outback

Question

I have a 2005 subaru outback. After replacing the transmission, the AWD light comes on and flashes when I hit 30 mph or 1.9 miles.

The OBD code is U1221 - which is not really explaining much.

U1221 Interior lamp outage, this doesnt apply to your transmission concern,when the AWD light comes on and flashes you have a traction control problem, This is  mostly mechanical failure, But then again you repalced the transmission,Inspect the speed sensor especially the turbine sensor  for proper connection,The code you need is a powertrain code it will start with a P0XXX.
