new temp senser, pcm shows 4.91 volts cold,with key on, no temp gauge, fans run on high

P0118 Engine coolant temperature sensor high input,

When the engine is cold the temperature resistance is high,so 4.91 is normal, as the engine warms up the temperature resistance is low,and the ECT voltage becomes less,When the engine is fully warmed up the PCM should read 1.5 to 2.0 volts, For the no temperature gauge check the fuse for the insturment panel, on the left side of the intrument panel it is listed as PCM.BCM it is a 10 amp fuse
