P0012 SCION - hom much to fix?

How much does it cost to fix cam shaft overretard on 2006 scion xb. Apparently there was a recall on this in 2007, that I was unaware of nor notified by Toyota. My car now has 71,000 miles on it and not covered anymore. Please help with advice. Thank you.

P0012 Camshaft postion "A" timing gear retard bank 1

This was covered on a powertrain warrantty for 60 month or 60,000 miles,This depends on what you have P0012 can also be a VVT-I actuator that causes the problem, this has alot to do with oil maintance, If the problem is diagnosed by Toyota as timing gear at fault,They will not warranty it at all. You can be dealing with a solenoid that just got faulty, it is possible to clean it out with brake cleaner reinstall.
