P0011 - what is the first thing that needs to be done to fix problem

the check engine light came on about 2 months ago and then went back off. that happen a few times now the light stays on been on 2 weeks same code all the time p0011. i have replaced plugs and oil. what should my next step be? change camshaft sensors (the whole distributor is what i was told) or adjust timing?

P0011 IVT (intake valve timing )

If you had a camshaft sensor problem you would be talking about rough idle,misses on acceleration, This is  the intake valve timing position sensor.

Ok that is telling me that the intake valve timing is bad but it still does not tell me where to start to replace it and where it is located. Do I need to replace all valves; just one valve. I can not find where the Intake Valve Timing Sensor is located.
