P0038 TOYOTA - dealer says need cat converter.

Question

Toyota dealer says exhaust leak and need cat converter at same time. $2800. May not even need the O2 sensor, but this is a 2003 so not spending $2700 on cat.

You should get a second opinion. Take it a a muffler shop they may  even be able to fix the exhaust leak without replacing any parts.
