 This is type A DTC, When you get this code the engine operates in redduced engine power mode and a DPF regeneration is now inhibited, You now will need a scan tool that has the protacols for a regeneration.There now will need to be corrective action before regeneration can run.One is a scan tool that does regeration must be connected to vehicle or it will not run a regeration.The DFP service regeneration will check the following P2463 is the only active code,battery is greater than 10 volts,vehicle speed is 0 MPH,Exhaust gas temperature is met,Diesel exhaust fluid temperature,and the list goes on. The scan tool will also list a enabling condition to run or a abort condition to run.and you will need to make that corrective action.
