P1768 - 2000 jeep grand cherokee

Transmission goes into limp mode intermittmently, speedomoter stops working, car failed to pass smog test.

P1768 Transmission relay output always off.

First check the transmission fluid level and condition, make sure its proper. There is a fuse in the engine juction box that fuse 5 which is a 30 amp fuse,make sure that not open,there is also a relay,you can swap it out with a different relay like the horn. Here is your situation something turns off the relay, either you lost ground or power.
