P0457 SUBARU -

Question

This code came up after I left the gascap off for a couple days accidentally. Mechanic tried telling me there was a faulty pressure control solenoid valve and vent control valve. The check engine light is still on but if this is code that came up, isn't it likely that putting the gaspcap on should remedy the situation?

P0457 This is evap leak,put the gas cap on,clear the code, without the gas cap fully functional a evap and or a purge  code will surely come on,on any EVAP code the gas cap is first suspected.
