I'm not a mechanic but am mechanically inclined and an all around do-it-yourself-er. I would like to know what part(s) to buy and how to replace them to alleviate the "Check Engine Soon" light and the PO193 code. Seems to run okay from what I can tell. I cannot take it to the Ford dealer. Any help would be great...thanks in advance!

The part you replace is the fuel rail pressure sensor,This sensor has taken place of the fuel pressure regulator, when you have this sensor fails,The ECM will not know how much fuel to deliver to the vehicle when the fuel demands are needed, Here is how it works,Instead of running the fuel pump with constant pressure, that causes the fuel pump to continously run a fuel pressure sensor taken its place so when the demands for fuel is not needed, little voltage is given when the demands for fuel is needed, more voltage is applied to the fuel pump,Your solution for this problem is a fuel pressure sensor.
