My brake lights will not turn off.I went to the auto parts store and was told that it probably was the black plastic bushing instead of the stop light switch and if it broke because of age I should find pieces of it beneath the brake assembly which I did.Where does this bushing go and do I have to remove the switch?

You don't have to remove the switch and the plug goes on the brake pedal arm. This part is available at the dealer.
