I have a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette C5 and code C1780. What is the cause of this?

Need Help. I have a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette C5 and code C1780, Steering wheel position sensor. What is the cause of this? I must change the sensor. Thanks most change

Sometimes the C1780 code is triggered when the vehicle is out of alignment or after an alignment or accident.

If you just had and alignment done, you have to have to dealer recalibrate the steering wheel sensor for you. You may also try disconnecting the car battery for about 30 minutes.
