My Nissan Titan stalls, and the shop says trouble code u1000 is this related?

Yes, this is likely related. The U1000 code means one of the computers on the network is losing communication with the ecm. It could be the ecm itself losing communication.

You need a high level scan tool that can read all the control modules to determine which is losing communication.If the scan tool will read them all, one will be missing and then the wiring for it can be tested.This code cannot be diagnosed without a scan tool.
