Is it possible to get p1870 code with coolant sensor and TPS defective?

There was a time when I got the coolant sensor plug cable deffective and the check trans light came on. On highway the trans get stock on 4th, and never jump to the "overdrive" at 55mph to save gas. I'm suspecting too on the TPS.

Vehicle: 1999, Isuzu, Vehicross, 3.5L
