P0733 JEEP -

Question

my jeep shifts from 1st to second without problem, when it gets to 3rd it doesnt enter the 3rd the car does not run until I shift manually down to 2nd...... my jeep is an 2001 4.7 8 cylinder quadratrack with 58787 miles its been never force..... my question is could be a selenoid the problem or is a worse problem....... the engine code is p0733

Yhis can be a problem with one of the solenoids, however if you only have this code stored, it is likely an internal problem with the transmission.

The P0733 has to do with the 3rd gear ratio.Since it is out of spec when related to the throttle position the code is stored.The only real way to know is to have it inspected by a transmission shop or dealer. Also, make sure to check the fluid level.
