Code P3241 Chevrolet Description

The hybrid/EV battery interface control modules perform a cell overvoltage SENSE CIRCUIT test, once, every power up cycle. When run/crank input signal transitions high and after a calibrated delay, the hybrid/EV battery interface control module informs the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2, via serial data communication bus that it is about to run the diagnostics on the overvoltage sense circuit. The hybrid/EV battery interface control modules then proceed to command, via internal serial data, each of its internal sense circuits to run the check on its output. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set when a cell group voltage of greater than 4.5 V is detected.
