Discuss the causes and fixes for P2099 Dodge OBDII Code
-
This is a Dodge Ram 1500 Van with only 42,000 miles,. Purchased used from a Dodge Dealership on 3/19/19.
Has not been driven except 65 miles. The check engine light came on when trying trying to get it cranked 3 times yesterday...seemed like it was not getting fuel.
On the fourth try, it cranked and no problems with cranking the rest of yesterday and this morning.
We put it through an inspection in a test mode at my work location and got a P2099 code.
This seems to be a generic code for many things. Took into a local repair station this am and they tested it and it is getting a code that indicates it is the Catalytic converter.
Will take to a local Dodge Dealership to see what they can determine.
