The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the Left Oil Control Valve (OCV) voltage. If PCM detects Left OCV control voltage (calculated from OCV) is less than the threshold voltage (calculated from positive battery voltage), PCM determines that the Left OCV circuit has a malfunction. This is a Continuous Monitor (CM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects malfunction condition.
