What model and year is your Toyota? you may have to replace the EGR Valve Position Sensor
-
I changed the position sensor on mine and the same p1410 still comes up. I also have been having a problem with a Miss fire with cylinder 2..replaced coil pack, spark plugs, wire set and the missfire still comes up..could this egr problem be causing this missfire? I plan to replace the EGR valve now.

Perhaps change the injector, too. Before BUYING a new valve, try cleaning it by taking it off and using some throttle body cleaner. But also check to see if the diaphragm in the valve is still moving, sometimes it can get stuck (which cleaning usually fixes). And egr rarely causes misfires due to the car's computer compensating for it to keep a suitable fuel-air ratio. (If not enough exhaust gas: it'll use more air. If too much exhaust gas, it'll use more gas and maybe more air dependent on ratios)
