What symptoms would one experience with the P1286 code? At random times whether the vehicle is hot (from driving a lot) or cold (first time of the day) it doesn't matter, once my RPM's exceed 3100 I start getting this jerky, sluggish, puttering as if the car isn't getting any fuel. While stopped at a traffic light, I put the vehicle in Neutral and revved up the engine and it did the same exact thing. That's telling me that it isn't the transmission itself, that it is probably something with the fuel, fuel line, filter or many other things. I took it to a mechanic, showed them what it was doing. By the time they got around to looking at my car they couldn't get it to do it and therefore didn't know what to look for. At that time there wasn't a check engine light on. That just came on for the first time this past weekend. Of course, it is off now even though nothing has been done to it. I took the code reader from work and came up with the code P1286. Please let me know if you know what this could possibly be.

I'm due for an oil change. However, it calls for 7k miles and I'm only about 5k miles into it. I have that appointment today. The oil 0w-20 and yes, I've checked it. It does seem a little low but I haven't noticed that I've been leaking any oil.

I've owned the vehicle coming up on 6 years. The original owner traded it in with less than 28k miles, so it was already a 5 y/o vehicle with only 27,9k miles. I recently flipped 97k. It's been a great little car and I haven't had any issues other than your normal wear & tear, maintenance items.

I also have this issue with the same oil pressure code . I replaced the 02 sensor 1 bank 1 and still had the issue . After checking my oil levels I noticed it was very low but my meter read 30% . Please let me know if a simple oil change would fix the issue because I desperately need to get a new inspection and fighting the check engine light is not helping thanks ..

So far so good. I had my oil change done on Tuesday, it is now Friday and I haven't experienced any issues. My oil level was also pretty low. Since then, I haven't experienced any issues after my tachometer exceeds 3k. My vehicle is in the shop this morning to finish getting the rest of the required service completed which includes replacing (not flushing) the transmission fluid. My fingers are crossed and I hope it continues to run smooth. I've always loved Honda's, many reasons but mostly because of the way they drive and the long life of the vehicles, provided you take care of them.
