The Check Engine Light (Code reading was P1159) came on my 2002 Kia Sedona. I basically don't like any kind of lights showing up stating this. So I basically did some basic research and found that if its not the Faulty Intake Motor there is a way to terminate this problem.
The way I did it was I disconnected the negative post hook on my battery and set it aside for one minute. Making sure it did not touch anything. Then I compressed the horn for about 30 seconds releasing any and all emissions out of the system. The I waited another minute and hook it back up to the battery again. Then I restarted the Van and the Check Engine was gone. I drove it some afterwards making sure the problem was taken care of. It was! Then the next morning I went to work in it. The light never appeared again. Thus far, all is well.
