we checked the position sensor wire we get power and signal, and switched the position sensor and the solenoid from bank 2 but still the engine light on did u recommend me some thing

If you’ve swapped the sensor and solenoid from Bank 2 to Bank 1 and the P1078 still comes back on Bank 1, that usually means the problem isn’t the sensor or the solenoid anymore. At that point you want to look at two things:
-
The wiring on Bank 1 under load – even if you see power and signal with a meter, the signal wire may be breaking internally or losing continuity when the engine is vibrating. Try doing a wiggle test on the harness while watching the live data.
-
Mechanical timing on that bank – if the timing chain guide or the cam phaser is starting to stick on Bank 1, the sensor will report the wrong cam position and the ECM thinks the sensor circuit is bad. This is pretty common on higher-mileage VQ engines.
If the wiring checks out, you may need to verify cam timing or check the cam phaser operation with a scan tool. A mechanical issue on that cam is the most common cause when parts have already been swapped.
