Code P0797 Suzuki Description

The Pressure Control (PC) Solenoid Valve an electronic pressure regulator that controls transmission line pressure based on current flow through its coil windings. As current flow is increased, the magnetic field produced by the coil moves the solenoid’s plunger further away from the exhaust port. Opening the exhaust port decreases the output fluid pressure regulated by the PC solenoid valve, which ultimately decreases line pressure. The line pressure solenoid valve regulates the oil pump discharge pressure to suit the driving condition in response to a signal sent from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

  • Hi i have a suzuki xl7 2004 v6..imported from USA to Iceland..have had it for 8 years..never failed..but my first problem was a airflow sensor..could not get the part here so ordered it from China..a mistake...bad fit and just worked..hardly..for 10 days..then ordered one from USA..that one fitted..and worked...but since i replaced that sensor have had PO797 error code and transmission is stuck like in 3th gear?...tried to orde part from the Suzuki dealer here in Iceland but got the wrong part..twice !!!!
So..i need this "pressure control solenoid C"...I was told that those XL7 USA types have a Toyota auto transmission?...but looking up on the internet.... many solenoids look similar but not exactly the same? and mostly come up with solenoid for Grand vitara..wich is not the same as XL7...so if anyone has a shop or any help that could be useful..would be merry...for that
