I have a 2004 mada 3 with a code 0751. The problem started with a no shift into 4th accompanied by a check engine light and an AT light. I pulled over to the side of the road and cut the engine off. On restarting the lights went off and tranny worked fine. The problem came back but restarting didn’t help that time. I checked the code and got a0751. I removed the pan and solenoid A which was stuck. Freed up after cleaning but I replaced it anyway (new solenoid off the internet)The trans worked fine on a short road test but went back to doing the same thing later. Fluid was dark but not a lot of trash. I used Mazda M5 fluid. I have a code 0751 again.high miles 212k. Any ideas? I put new tires and struts on not long ago and hate to scrap this car but replacing the tranny isn’t worth it. Thanks!

Unfortunately other than the shift solenoid I haven't seen any other component triggering the P0751 code. How fast did the code came back? did you replace the transmission filter with the solenoid? It's possible that there is still some debrie in the transmission causing the solenoid to get stuck.
