I have a 2003 Acura TL type s, I have this code. The car drives and shifts fine until it heats up, once warm the car shifts really hard causing the entire car to jerk and rpm jump very high and then drop low. I have already changed both transmission soleniods. I have done multiple transmission fluid changes,I have changed 3rd gear pressure switch and 4th gear pressure switch but nothing has changed. Tonight on my way into work my check engine light came on AGAIN! it seems that my CEL is on more than it's off. I've changed both O2 sensors and catalytic converter in the last 2 months. And now it's throwing code P0740. I've read several articles about this code and my car has none of the symptoms of this code. My tranny fluid is where it's suppose to be and it's clean. It doesn't shift hard ever and I never drive the car in D4. I've erased the code and I'll wait and see if it comes back but while I'm waiting does anyone have any other ideas or what to do to fix this. I have a 2001 Acura CL Premium. I have taken excellent care of this car and absolutely love it until now. It seems like it's starting to nickel and dime me to death. I don't mind sendings money on repairs but if it's just gonna be one thing after another then maybe it's time we parted ways.
