P0 722 code transmission speed sensor, Mine was a frayed wire, clean and inspect the pigtail as far as you can. If you are having problems with a jumppy speedometer, that could also be part of the problem. On the 97 to 2005 vw eurovan its located above the fill tube not next to it. You might want to clean the plug next to the fill tube as well. This area of the engine is subject to plenty of on coming water as you drive thus sucessable to corrosion and dirt. I know that the sensor is prettymuch bullet proof but like everything else can fail. Hope I help someone.

I have a automatic 2001 Kia shortage, yesterday I was driving to work and I was doing about 40mph when the car stoped picking up speed when I hit the gas the car would only rev up and the rams would go up but it would not accelerate at all as if I had it in neutral but that wasn't the case it was definitely in drive so I coasted in to a parking lot checked transmission fluid which was good so I sat there for about a nother 15 min thinking on what could be the problem then decided to try it again and it was working fine but 2 min down the road it quit accelerating only rams would go up when I hit th gas so I coasted off the road again sat parked on the side of the road for 2 hours waiting for rain to stop. I decided to try again and the car drove like normal for 20 miles to work , later that day I was driving home from work about halfway home 10ish miles and the car stoped accelerating once a again. I sat in car a couple hours turning on and off trying to get it rpm work the most I got was about 10 feet of forward movement at about 2 mph I think 3 different times
