My Honda Accord is giving codes P0705 and P0718. One transmission technician said its the TCM "Transmission Control Module" that is malfunctioning. Does this sound right or is it just yhe sensors?

I would start by replacing the sensor. The TCM it's very expensive and usually less likely to fail.
