Does the cruise control system works? sometimes a faulty cruise control can also trigger that code. What model and year is your Chevy?

My car won't start! New clutch new flywheel new clutch slave cylinder still won't start. So would be it the switch and what should I check or change or do! Its a 1992 RS Camaro t5 5speed
-
Try jumping the switch. Use a small wire to jump the wires on the switch connector. If you didn't touch the switch while installing the clutch, I doubt the problem is with the switch. Check the parts you disconnect while installing the clutch.

Why would am automatic '99 Chevy silverado register this code. On top of not having cruise control??
-
Good question, my guess is that either there is a problem with the Transmission Control Module (TCM), Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or with the scanner you read the code.
Any other symptoms or codes? Have you replaced any of the control modules lately?

I have a 2002 Camaro SS - 6 speed and I replaced the clutch switch and erased the P0704 error code a couple of time but the " Check Engine Soon" still comes on after about 50 or 100 miles or so. My cruise control works.
Can anyone please tell what the problem could be ? -
Besides replacing the switch, the only other problem that I have seen causing the P0704 i bad switch adjustment. My only recommendation is to double check the switch adjustment. Make sure the opens when the clutch pedal is depress.
