I had the same issue, couldn't shift from park without bypassing interlock, the fuse was good, so I verified that the lights & wiring were good by removing the brake switch connector and jumping the
leads.....that checked out so that told me it was definitely the switch.I removed the switch and opened it up and noticed that the connection pads were corroded, I carefully removed the leads with needle-nose pliers and removed the corrosion with a very fine file, put it back together taking care not to bend the leads and now I'm up and running. Brake lights work fine, I can now shift properly ...... total time to repair (once problem isolated) was about 20 minutes
