Code P05B7 Description

The shutter grille system open/closes the shutter depending on the driving conditions. The system improves fuel efficiency by reducing the wind drag. The shutter is controlled by the shutter grille which integrates the actuator. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) sends open/close requests which depends on the driving conditions to the shutter grille via the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) line. If the upper or lower actuator voltage is detected as abnormal, the PCM confirms the abnormality and stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). The DTC will be set when the power supply voltage of the PCM is more than 10.5V, when the actuator is 17.5 V or more, or less than 7.5 V for at least 2.5 seconds.
