If the PCM receives a specified signal from the shutter grille, the PCM detects as a shutter grille LIN line open/short failure and stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). The DTC will be set when the upper or lower actuator state of short to ground or EEPROM of the read / write errors of the motor has continued for at least 2.5 seconds or more.
