I’m upset with the place that changed my oil. Have 2011 BMW 535i Sport M. He put the wrong oil in it and when he said ready it was running first thing I notice Drivetrain Malfunction Drive moderately. He skated around the whole thing, even oil wasn’t registering full. He reset service codes and they are all wrong. Then driving home Oil Pressure dangerously low so had to stop immediately. I opened the oil cap and that went away but can’t get other to clear out. Took to a shop who printed out code P054B and also he tried to clear it but it came back on. I even unhooked my battery cables but it didn’t work. It’s not running rough but I’m not risking driving it because I’m afraid it will screw up other things and go into limp mode. What I found out....

Could be ...oil filter cap missing the insert that goes inside of the filter.
Engine oil level is too low Which it took forever for It to register at full level

Anyway they won’t accept fault and now I have to take it somewhere else to get repaired.How does it happen when the oil is changed it caused the dangerously oil pressure to come on? But by opening the cap that fixed it. I’m a 62 year young woman who knows her car well and love it but mechanics keep messing things up. Even the dealership. I research everything about it and when I confront them with this knowledge they still say it’s something else and when I take back say I need such n such and I tell them that’s exactly what they basked you about time before now you’re saying it needs to be done.
