2005 wrx p0459 evap purge valve circuit failed high. Yes it was the ecm, a tiny chip on the ecm. I soldered a new chip on my ecm I bought from ebay, Lutz automotive and it solved the issue. The chip is tiny, I'm not an electronics tech, my iron is nothing special. Part was 14 bucks. If you aren't comfortable installing the chip take it to a cb shop or someone who deals with electronics.
