I have a 2009 toque s that I purchased from a dealer over two years ago and from the beginning had an evap problem after smoke tests and subsequent repairs that solved nothing including the dealer trying to sell me a new fuel tank which I said no to I finally took my roque to my local certified mechanic when he first diagnosed a 455 code that he felt was related to my gas cap I replaced the cap and still got the code along with a 447 code for the canister control solenoid which he replaced reassuring me that the faulty solenoid would cure the problem being that it was stuck open and in his opinion had got overheated and failed to close during ecm diagnostics he also showed burn marks and a crack in the casing I have yet to complete the total drive cycle but ....is he right? Are the two related?....your feedback please
