Code P0325 Infiniti Description

The Knock Sensor (KS) senses engine knocking (also known as detonation or pinging) using a piezoelectric element. The sensor is attached to the cylinder block, cylinder head or intake manifold. A knocking vibration from the cylinder block is sensed as vibrational pressure. This pressure is converted into a voltage signal and sent to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM uses this signal to retard the ignition timing and protect the engine from this damaging pre-ignition.

  • I HAVE A I 30 99 INFINITI CAR STILL KICKS OVER AS IN WANT TO START BUT DOESNT I GOT IT TO START FOR 5 SEC ONE TIME THEN DIED SO I THINK IT MIGHT BE FUEL PUMP BUT IT KICKS ON I HEAR IT WHEN I TURN THE KEY SO I HAD MY FRIEND COME OVER TO CHECK WHAT CODE IT SAYS AND P0325 CAME UP 3 DIFFERENT TIMES WHICH I LOOKED ONLINE AND IT SAYS TO REPLACE KNOCK SENOR AND IT SAID ONLINE IT DOESNT CAUSE ENGINE PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME !!!

  • Correct, a bad knock sensor will NOT cause the no start situation.
Does the "Security Light" stays solid ON when you crank the engine? If it does, then then problem is with the key. If the engine light is not solid ON, then you may have a problem with the fuel pump. Before you replace the pump, check for fuel pressure first, since there are many thins that could cause the problem.

  • yes it does so i was told that the nats is on and i have to take the car and key to get reprogram i called the dealer they said its going to cost $130.00 and will take one hour

  • Call your local locksmith, they may be able to reprogram the keys for you at your home

  • after i have the locksmith reprogram my keys then will the security light turn off when i turn the key to on before i start the car or do i have to reset the nats security system or will the car do it on its own !!???

  • The locksmith should be able to reprogram and clear the codes at the same time.

  • does it matter that my remote control (keyless entry) works on both set of keys and since the security light stays on while i turn the key on the on button right before i try starting the car so that means for sure my key has some how gotten deprogram so i just need to reprogram the key to the car and it should start right up even tho the anti theft was armed (nats was) also how can the car one day not work out of the blue and not wanting to start my car after i just drove it to work the same day

  • The remote has nothing to do with the key. If the security light stays ON when you crank the engine, it means that your vehicle is not reading the key, but unfortunately there is no way to know if there is something else causing the problem. If you are not sure, then I suggest towing your vehicle to the dealer and have them diagnose the problem.
