Discuss the causes and fixes for P0245 Volkswagen OBDII Code

  • got a P0245 code on a 2000 beetle with a TBI 1.9 lit3r engine in it. Tons of black smoke and no power. I changed all the vacuum lines and the wastegate and EGR solenoids as well, no change. the code says the solenoid A is low. I am trying to determine where the problem areas in the wiring harness are so I dont have to rip all the wiring out of this car. I also have a P1441 for the EGR solenoid as well so Likely they are tied together.
Would any one know where the problem areas in the harness might be to help speed up the process?

  • After I checked and changed all the parts, I am thinking it must be a harness issue
