The Fuel Temperature Sensor is a thermistor that is located in the fuel filter assembly. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the fuel temperature sensor through the fuel pump driver control module in order to calculate the temperature of the fuel entering the fuel injection pump. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set when the Fuel Temperature Sensor is warmer than 109°C (228°F) for greater than 2 s.
