The Turbocharger Bypass (TCBY) Valve prevents backflow through the turbocharger when the throttle is rapidly closed to avoid undesirable noise. The high pressure downstream of the turbocharger is vented back to the intake air upstream when the Turbocharger Bypass Valve is open reducing pressure in the system. This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects an open circuit or high voltage in the Turbocharger Bypass 'B' (TCBY2) Valve circuit.
