Discuss the causes and fixes for P2172 Chrysler OBDII Code

  • I have this code. I changed the throttle body, Mass airflow sensor, and the battery. It was still stalling. So I brought it to the dealership. The said they did the PCM update. I am a girl and I am not sure if the mechanic was giving me a hard time because he didn’t think I knew what was going on but I asked him if he can check the MAP sensor and vacuum leaks. He said he checked the sensor already and it’s fine. He rolled his eyes about having to check the vacuum lines and said that wouldn’t be it. He claimed he checked them and they were fine. I get home and the car stalled again. I am so frustrated!!

  • I'm sorry you are having those problems; I know how frustrating that can be. Let me check if I can find more information for you. What model, year and engine size is your vehicle?
