hey i have 2004 maxima and i had a new engine put in, idk if it has anything to do with the tranny causing this issue but i can't shift from P-R i would have to go first P-D and the from D-R in order for me to in reverse, and with i do shift its a hard jerk. Also when I'm driving it shifts hard... Code p1574 speed sensor shows up , was told i need a new tcm... if so where is it located? please help

How long ago was the engine installed? Besides the engine, what else did you replaced?

nothing at all, just the Engine is still shifts pretty crazy and when I go to shift it from park to Reverse it won't go unless I go to drive and then revrse. i also noticed that i was over filled with fuild i took some out but it didnt help.

Since you have to disconnect the transmission during the engine installation, the transmission was not properly installed. You should take it back to the place that installed the engine and have them check again. If the transmission was OK, before, then they did something wrong.
