there are several shift solenoids in transmissions and 3+ and I am still trying to figure out which is "e"
There is a secret coding that no shop r auto parts store wants to reveal. :-(
There are some sites to get the parts cheaper if we can just break the code for parts numbers.
Autozone quoted me $455 for this part and I find similar ones online for $156 but will not order until I can cross reference the part number. replacing is easier than believed. Remove fluid pan and there are the solenoids. Unplug, remove screw that holds in place and replace. and I will change fluid and filter anyways. -
If you have the v6 model there will be 6 shift solenoids. They will be cheaper at your local Toyota dealership. I would recommend that you go to a shop to have your codes read, they will tell you what number it is as their scanner will pick up your vehicle make and model. Auto zone has generic scanners.
