Hi after driving my Nissan Rogue for 3 to4 hours my trans goes into a limp mode , poor accretion,lake of power speed reduction. Let set for 30 to 60 min works ok again. Took my rogue into amco transmission they pulled out code P0744, and said I need a new transmission. No other checks were done. Do I need a transmission or are there other possibilities?

Mine went into limp mode several different times after driving 30 to 40 miles and more frequently the more I used the vehicle.but always went back to normal after a brief period of cooling down . Until recently it got stuck in limp mode and won't run over 10 miles per hour.also dies alot. I did Alittle research and decide to replace the valve body and torque converter solenoid valve and steppermotor from a online carpart co. For under $150 also gonna change fluid and filter and flush tranny with a good flush product! Hopefully this will take care of the problem !? Any comments about this working or not would love to hear your opinion !

That should take care of the problem. It is not what we do at the dealer, but many customers have had success with those parts. Now with the transmission flush, I'm not a fan. I recommend transmission flush for relative new vehicles to prevent problems, but I had only problems with high mileage and over 5-year-old vehicles. Just change the fluid, and let it drain as much as possible.
