u can erase codes with diagnostic scanner or simply disconnect battery for 15 min or so..once reconnected engine light will be off and stay off if u fixed it...comes back on..not fixed the problem

Started 3-4 years ago. Light come on using AC in summer and then would go off a few days later. No prob all winter. Then come on more frequently but eventually go off. Next year summer, AC came on and has stayed. Finally had some guys work on it checked vacuum and replace gas cap. Had FS start from beginning and did all except gas tank lower. Year later had local garage do the tank and replace sensors. Reset and stayed off several days. Reset several times. 26 Dec '17 reset and told to not worry with it since it has no noticeable effect on operation. It was cold weather and was until 10 Jan '18. Temp hit 60 and light came on again. There is a leak somewhere and I am tired of spending money trying to fix. I got a cheap code reader ($12) and will reset whenever I feel like it. Maybe try to correlate with temp?? Any suggestions?
