Rip all that off at this point and search 2000 honda civic stainless 2" exhaust into ebay and hit buy now. For 200 dollars you get it all, all the way back to the ass end of the car. Take a sawzaw muffler cutter and just chop the bracket at the engine mount that holds the converter on. Dont even care about the weird EPA nut they put on there, like the sqaure D stupid epa screw driver to adjust your chainsaw, just bypass that. Anyways, the cheap stainless 2" ricer fart can kit from ebay bangs. It mounts up to the factory perfectly. All the hangers and everything slip on, it bolts together and is cheaper and will last at least 10 years longer than that crap stock EPA junk. Forget about the engine light because with all 6th gen civics, you should be(under normal conditions) throwing a P1457 or P1456(easier fix) code anyways. Make sure you hook it all back up, the two sensor plugs and put brand new DENFLO sensors in, dont even care about trying to fight with the old ones. The EPA standard dump raw gas into converter to do a flash off test really tweaks the sensors and practically melts them into the converter along with cracking and destroying the 700 dollar unit itself.
